We're not all lawyers, but we work together to support the legal profession and ensure a just society for all.We are currently looking for a full time permanent Engagement Coordinator to join our Insights & Engagement team.About the teamThe Insights & Engagement team is the intelligence arm of the Membership & Engagement Department with responsibility for strategic understanding of, and engagement with, all cohorts of the profession, from students through to retired practitioners. As a member of the Insights & Engagement team, you will contribute to the identification, development and delivery of strategic initiatives and programs designed to service and support specific members of the profession through the various stages of their legal career journeys ensuring that all we do is underpinned by the need to ensure a thriving and successful legal profession in NSW.About the roleThe Engagement Coordinator is responsible for providing general administrative and coordination support for the Insights and Engagement team with a focus on Regional Law Societies and regional engagement.What you'll be doingAssisting with administrative tasks relating to Regional Law Societies, Regional Presidents and regional engagement.Maintaining and organising the regional engagement events, social calendars, Regional Coordinator inbox and folders.Assisting with ad-hoc data entry and drafting of routine correspondence.Assisting with the creation of meeting and event communications, invitations, and bookings.Assisting with the execution of Regional Presidents’ meetings and working groups.Assisting with the coordination and development of regional events and resources.Any other regionally specific tasks that may arise from time to time.Supporting the Insights & Engagement team with general administrative tasks.Assisting the Engagement Managers and Wellbeing Manager with coordination of various events and meetings.Assisting with the maintenance and updating of documents, resources and online webpages as required.Responding to general queries received by phone and email through Insights & Engagement communication channels.Maintaining and updating contact information and databases for the Insights & Engagement team.Drafting of various routine letters and applications.Assisting in the organisation and requisition of various invoices. About youExceptional customer service and administration skills.Exceptional social media knowledge and skills.Exceptional organisational skills and strong interpersonal skills.Good understanding and awareness of the areas of law and issues impacting the profession.Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.Good software skills and ability to quickly learn new programs.Database experience and web exposure (i.e., basic HTML), and experience with MS Office.Ability to work in a small team, as an active and contributing member.Exceptional attention to detail, planning, and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proof reading.Ability to work outside of normal working hours, including some evenings and weekends.Confident, professional, motivated and enthusiastic.Demonstrated ability to be adaptive and accepting of new ideas, and a willingness to approach new challenges.Punctual and reliable.Regulates own behaviour, comprehends organisational structure and culture and acts appropriately in the execution of duties. To ApplyThe Law Society of New South Wales is committed to building and maintaining a respectful and inclusive workplace, appointing the best person for the role and supporting diversity. Applications should contain a CV and cover letter that outlines your key experience and motivations for this role.
