As a member of the Insights & Engagement team, you will contribute to the identification, development and delivery of strategic initiatives and programs designed to service and support specific members of the profession through the various stages of their legal career journeys ensuring that all we do is underpinned by the need to ensure a thriving and successful legal profession in NSW.About the roleThe Engagement Coordinator is responsible for providing organisational administration and support for the Insights and Engagement team, with a focus on students and early career lawyers, including NSW Young Lawyers. You will assist with all administrative aspects of member services for students and early career lawyers.What you'll be doingMaintaining and organising the NSW Young Lawyers event and social calendars.Creating and facilitating necessary meeting and event communications, invitations and bookings.Assisting with the execution of NSW Young Lawyers and Student Ambassador meetings and elections both in person and via online platforms.Assisting with the coordination and execution of NSW Young Lawyers and student events and resources.Monitoring and coordinating all relevant collateral.Assisting with the management of and content development for the multiple social media channels for both NSW Young Lawyers and Student Services.Assisting with the maintenance and updating of NSW Young Lawyers and Student Services documents, resources and online webpages as required.Responding to general queries received by phone and email through the NSW Young Lawyers and Student Services channels.Assisting with student member communications and the maintenance of the student member database and contact information.Maintaining and updating contact information and databases for NSW Young Lawyers volunteers and external bodies as appropriate.Maintaining digital files and folders and collating statistical data on events and meetings to assist with reporting.Organising for gifts to be arranged and sent to guest speakers as necessary.Creating the necessary portals for and running NSW Young Lawyers Sub-Committee elections. About youExceptional customer service skills.Exceptional social media knowledge and skills.Exceptional organisational skills and strong interpersonal skills.Good understanding and awareness of the areas of law and issues impacting the profession.Previous (2-3 years) administration experience preferable.Previous (2-3 years) social media experience.Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.Good software skills and ability to quickly learn new programs.Database experience and web exposure (i.e., basic HTML).Ability to work in a small team, as an active and contributing memberAttention to detailGood organisation, planning, and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proof reading.Highly developed interpersonal skills.Strong customer service focus.Ability to manage competing demands and work to deadlines.Demonstrated ability with regard to computer skills, including excellent word processing capabilities, proficiency with e-mail and internet applications and data base applications and experience using MS Office.Ability to work outside of normal working hours, including some evenings and weekends.Confident, professional, motivated and enthusiastic.Able to build strong and effective relationships.Ability to work in a small team, as an active and contributing member.Punctual and reliable. To ApplyThe Law Society of New South Wales is committed to building and maintaining a respectful and inclusive workplace, appointing the best person for the role and supporting diversity. Applications should contain a CV and cover letter that outlines your key experience and motivations for this role.
